ON NUTRITION | DR. ED BLONZ: Can drinking too much coffee cause brittle bones? (The Charlotte Observer)
Q. I’ve been told that coffee (caffeine) absorbs calcium and that it can even absorb calcium out of bones. Is that true? And, if so, does adding milk or half-and-half to coffee give the caffeine calcium to absorb and keep it from absorbing calcium elsewhere?
